Public Holiday 2024 Oman. (islamic holidays are subject to the lunar calendar and moon sighting; On the occasion of eid al fitr, the sultanate announced that the holiday for public and private sector starts on tuesday, ramadan 29 1445 ah, corresponding to april 9, 2024, and ends on saturday, corresponding to april 13, 2024.
Eid al adha is the next big public holiday in the calendar, after eid al fitr. Article (1) states that official holidays for units of the state’s administrative apparatus, public legal entities and establishments of the private sector—with regard to eids and other occasions listed below—shall be fixed as follows:
